Success!  The package has landed!  4 Kobras and a deviator (I really wished my APC landed full of sard elites, *sob*)

TIME OUT

"How in the world did this stuff actually land?" you may be asking.  It is because of 3 principles:  numbers, speed, and circular drone fire.

#1.  Advanced caryalls are faster than drones. 

#2.  Drones auto fire on the nearest carryall.  If you have SEVERAL caryalls, then all the auto-fire is spread out- kind of like the drones are almost getting confused as the caryalls wizz by. 

#3.  When a drone fires at a nearby air unit, the drone missle goes around in a circle, therefore taking a longer time to strike the target.    By telling your units to LAND IMMEDIATELY (press D), then suddenly, all your caryalls are "stationary" (ie, they are not flying anymore but landing).  At this time, any nearby drones will generally focus on one or two targets.  While the drones fire their circular missles at one or two targets, the rest of your carryalls have plenty of time to land.  The caryalls taking the fire will (usually) die, but you will get the rest to land!

Amazing as it is, if you head at atreides with several caryalls, you can bust through their drones and land.  Just watch out for ground to air fire though! :)
