So many players just want to deploy that MCV so fast, they dont realize the tremendous benefit in spending that extra 3 seconds to build your base the right way.  If you want to keep out scouts, you can still get your snipers out in time.  Remember, this is a large map so it takes a while for your opponents scouts to reach you.
